Johnny & Hazel

LeRoc Merseyside venues are run by a group of around 20 dancers, Instructors and dance coaches.  The venues use several different instructors to teach LeRoc Modern Jive, one of our senior instructors being Johnny.

Johnny is a professional (UKA) Modern Jive Instructor, who qualified in 2005 and became a member of the 'United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing', and the LeRoc Federation (a non profit making organization).

He started dancing with Hazel in 2007 (who qualified herself in 2008 and is now also a member of the 'United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of dancing'). Their lessons throughout the North West have grown in popularity, and often see large numbers.  All their routines and moves are designed to be danced in freestyle, so the man can lead and the lady can follow, always  keeping to the Modern Jive structure that can be danced across the UK.   Keeping to these basic rules of structure and style (teaching style has to fit in with the structure of the dance eg a basic should be 8 beats with or without style).  Johnny believes this is the key to the popularity of their lessons, and the success of getting their classes dancing sometimes to advance moves and routines that can be danced in freestyle.
